Competition in brief 2004-2005

Competition in brief
  • Overall 33 teams (153 students) from 24 state and private universities of Armenia (Yerevan, Ararat, Armavir, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Shirak and Syunik regions) registered for the IHR Mooting Competition.


  • Overall 14 teams handed their written memorials (teams from Yerevan, Ararat, Armavir and Gyumri). The written memorials were presented to judges for their evaluation, as a result of which the memorial of team 1055 (Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University) with the score 340 out of 400 possible was announced as ''Best Written Memorial of the Competition".

  • On May 13 and 14, 2005 the preliminary, quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of IHR Mooting Competition were held. As a result of these games, from overall 13 teams, teams which received the highest scores throughout the competition advanced to final round (0257-Gyumri University named aft. A. Shirakatsi and 1055-Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University). Team 0249 from "MYUD" University received the third place based on the score gained throughout the competition. On May 15, 2005 the final round of the competition was organized in Tekeyan Center. As a result of the Competition team from Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University (1055) was bestowed in the nomination of "Best Team" and the University aft. A. Shirakatsi of Gyumri received the second honorable prize.
In all the rounds of the competition "Best Orators of the Round" were announced, as well as based on the total competition score the "Best Orator" was announced.
