Competition in brief 2007-2008

  • Overall 35 teams (150 students) from 22 state and private universities of Armenia (Yerevan, Ararat, Armavir, Kotayk, Gegharkunik, Shirak, Lori and Syunik regions) registered for the IHR Mooting Competition.
  • Overall 15 teams handed their written memorials. The written memorials were presented to judges for their evaluation. The best score was 365 points out of 400 possible. That team won in the “Best Memorial” nomination.as a result of which the memorial of team 1055 (Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University) with the score 340 out of 400 possible was announced as ''Best Written Memorial of the Competition".
  • On February 7 and 8, 2008 the preliminary, quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of IHR Mooting Competition were held. As a result of these games, from overall 15 teams, teams which received the highest scores throughout the competition advanced to final round (Russian-Armenian (Slavonic)Universitie and Yerevan State  University). On February 14, 2008 the final round of the competition was organized in Tekeyan Center. As a result of the Yerevan State University was bestowed in the nomination of "Best Team" and the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University received the second honorable prize.
In all the rounds of the competition "Best Orators of the Round" were announced, as well as based on the total competition score the "Best Orator" was announced.
